Nepali Doctors announce another agitation

Nepal Medical Association (NMA), the umbrella organisations of doctors in Nepal, has announced yet another agitation accusing the government of showing apathy towards their demands time and again.
Organising a press conference in the capital Friday, NMA said it will launch soft protest programmes by not complying with government regulations related to their demands and by not cooperating with the government for one month starting February 13.
Association chairman Dr Kedar Narsingh KC said, the agitation will not have any impact services to the public.
Dr KC also claimed, they had to resort to agitation as the government had signed agreement with them time and again but had never implemented them.
He also said, doctors would not pay the five percent additional tax the government is taking from independently practicing professionals. Source:nepalnews.com
